Receita de Esfiha
2 copos e 1/2 de leite morno
1 colher de sopa de fermento seco
1/2 copo de óleo
Mais ou menos 1 kilo de farinha
2 colheres e 1/2 de açúcar (colher de sopa)
1 colher de chá de sal
Recheios opcionais: Carne de Soja, Palmito, Legumes etc

Brazilian esfihas veganas
2 1/2 cup of plant based milk
1 tbsp dry yeast
1/2 cup oil
1 kilo flour
2 1/2 tbsp sugar
How to prepare:
First: In a bowl mix together Lukewarm milk , dry yeast and sugar.
Cover with glad wrap and let it sit until you see bubbles around the bowl. For about 10 minutes.
Add the oil and salt and mix well.
Add flour little by little until combined to a nice soft dough.
Roll into a big ball and place in the bowl covered with glad wrap then a tea towel on top. Let shaped dough rise until it has doubled in size. For about 30 minutes.
When dough doubled size cut into small pieces and shape them into small size balls. And let rise again for another 20 minutes.
Flatten each ball using a rolling pin.
Adding filling to center.
Close the dough at the top forming a triangle shape. Place the top of triangle shape facing down on a tray lined with baking paper.
Brush with egg wash:
Options: One beaten egg
Or make a vegan one – 1 tbsp molasses and 1 tbsp water mix well and brush molasses wash on each esfiha.
Bake at 180o Degrees until golden for about 20 -25 minutes depending on your oven speed.
